After completing graduation, Ashutosh Ranka began his career in 2017 as a Business Analyst Consultant at McKinsey & Company in Mumbai. In 2019, he worked as an Associate Fellow at the Delhi Legislative Assembly, and in 2020, he went to The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) to pursue a master’s degree in Public Administration.While completing his master’s, he worked as a contributing editor for the “LSE Public Policy Review” and served as a consultant for Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, based in Geneva, Switzerland.

From 2022 to 2024, he worked as a Senior Associate at McKinsey & Company. Between 2024 and 2025, he contributed to the media and data teams of Arvind Kejriwal‘s Aam Aadmi Party during the Delhi Legislative Assembly elections. Subsequently, in December 2025, he became the Secretary of the party’s intellectual wing for Rajasthan.

In 2025, Ashutosh Ranka launched a citizen-led platform named ‘Parivartan’. This platform was established to address political, social, and educational issues, as well as environmental conservation, healthcare, and government reforms, across Rajasthan and the rest of India.

On June 3, 2026, Ashutosh Ranka was appointed as a spokesperson for the ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ alongside Saurav Das and Vijeta Dahiya, a move that rapidly boosted his public profile. On June 6, 2026, party founder Abhijeet Dipke selected him to represent the movement—centered on protests in Delhi and the NEET-UG paper leak controversy—before the public and the media. Abhijeet Dipke had initiated this movement after Chief Justice Surya Kant allegedly compared unemployed youth to “cockroaches.”

Ashutosh Ranka led a 36-day protest at Jantar Mantar over the NEET-UG paper leak controversy and held direct talks with senior government ministers regarding the students’ demands. He garnered significant attention by demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
