She began her career in 2008 as a corporate trainer at NIIT, Chandigarh. She provided training to employees of various companies in software applications such as Oracle, SQL, and J2ME. In 2012, she launched ‘dietexpert.com’, a diet plan website that offers customized diet plans to its clients based on their age, lifestyle, weight, and fitness goals.
In 2015, she co-founded Honasa Consumer Private Limited with her husband, Varun Alagh, in Gurgaon, India, which is a holding company for natural beauty and personal care brands such as Mamaearth, Aqualogica, The Derma Co., and Ayuga.
In 2016, she and her husband launched the Mamaearth brand, which manufactures health, baby care, fitness, and wellness products. Mamaearth started with six products: rash cream, lotion, shampoo, massage oil, body wash, and diapers.
