Akhil Akkineni is a famous Indian actor who works in Telugu cinema. He is the younger son of actor Nagarjuna Akkineni and actress Amala Akkineni. He made his acting debut as a child artist in the film “Sisindri”. For which he also received the Filmfare Special Award. He is also the captain of Telugu Various Team in Celebrity Cricket League.
In 2014, Akhil Akkineni worked as the lead actor in the film “Akhil”, for which he received the Filmfare Best Doubting Actor Award. After this, he was also appeared in Hello, Mr. Majnu, Most Eligible Bachelor and Agent.

Akhil Akkineni was born on 8 April 1994 in San Jose, California, United States. He is Telugu from his father’s side and Bengali and Irish from his mother’s side. He received his early education from Chaitanya Vidyalaya, Hyderabad after which he went to Australia for two years and after returning from there, he completed his schooling from Oakridge International School, Gachibowli, Hyderabad, Telangana.
He started his acting career at the age of 16. He did an acting course fromLee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York, after which he did his graduation from University of South Florida, US.
Akhil Akkineni loved playing cricket since childhood. In 2010, he participated in the Celebrity Tollywood Trophy for his father’s team Kings team. He scored a half-century in the final against Venkatesh’s Venky Warriors team and won the Man of the Match and Man of the Series awards. In 2016, he led his team to victory as captain.

Akhil Akkineni made his acting debut as a child artist in 1995 in his father’s production film ‘Sisindra’. In 2014, he played a small role in a Telugu film ‘Manan’ alongside his grandfather Akkineni Nageswara Rao, father Nagarjuna Akkineni, his brother Naga Chaitanya and ex-Sister-in-Low Samantha Prabhu.
In 2015, he acted in the lead role in the film ‘Akhil’ directed by Vivi Vinayak. The film was produced by Nitin and his family in which he played the role of Akhil. He then appeared in the film ‘Hello’ directed by Vikram Kumar in 2017 and ‘Mr. Majnu’ directed by Venkata Atluri in 2019. He has also lent his voice to a song in the film ‘Hello’.
In 2021, he starred in the film ‘Most Eligible Bachelor’ opposite Pooja Hegde. Directed by Bhaskar of Bommarillu and Parugu fame, the film was a box office hit and gave Akhil a long-awaited box office success.
In 2023, he appeared in the film ‘Agent’ directed by Surender Reddy and produced by Anil Sunkara, which released on 28 April 2023. The film received negative reviews and flopped at the box office.
