Arvind Kejriwal is a popular Indian politician. He is the national leader of the Aam Aadmi Party. He became the Chief Minister of Delhi in 2013 by defeating Sheila Dixit, who had won three consecutive times, in the Delhi Assembly elections. He became the 7th Chief Minister of Delhi and took over the tenure of Delhi.
After this he won the Delhi Assembly elections in 2015 and 2020. He was successful in forming his government in Delhi and becoming the Chief Minister. Arvind Kejriwal is currently the Chief Minister of Delhi. He is also considered the youngest Chief Minister of Delhi.

Arvind Kejriwal was born in a wealthy family. His father’s name was Govind Ram Kejriwal who was an electrical engineer. His mother’s name was Geeta Devi. He has a younger brother Manoj who is a software engineer in IBM, Pune. His younger sister Ranjana is a doctor in Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Haridwar.

Arvind Kejriwal Political Career
Arvind Kejriwal‘s politics has been very interesting. In 2011, a movement was organized in Delhi under the leadership of Annan Hazare. Anna Hazare sat on a hunger strike in that movement. The name of this movement was Lokpal Movement. In this movement, a sit-in was organized to pass the Lokpal Bill.
Arvind Kejriwal joined Anna Hazare in this movement. Many famous faces like Kiran Bedi, Kumar Vishwas, Manish Sisodia, Prashant Bhushan also joined Kejriwal. All of them together formed a party named Aam Aadmi Party. Kejriwal was made the convener of this party. From then on, Kejriwal’s political career started.
In the 2013 Delhi Assembly elections, Kejriwal achieved his first political success by defeating Sheila Dixit by 25,864 votes in the New Delhi Assembly seat. Sheila Dixit was the Chief Minister of Delhi three times for 15 years.
After this, in 2015, Kejriwal again formed the government by winning 67 out of 70 seats in the Delhi Assembly elections. In 2020, he won 62 out of 70 seats in the assembly elections and on 16 February 2020, Kejriwal took oath as Chief Minister for the third time at Ramlila Maidan. At present Kejriwal is the Chief Minister of Delhi as a successful leader.
