Rukmini Vasanth is an Indian actress known for her work in Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu films. She made her acting debut in the 2019 Kannada film “Birbal Trilogy.” In 2023, she gained fame with her role as Priya in the Kannada film “Sapta Sagaradacha Elo,” for which she received the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress.
She made her Telugu debut in 2024 with “Appudo Lappudo” and in 2025 with the Tamil film “Ace.” She appeared in the Kannada film “Kantara: Chapter 1” opposite Rishabh Shetty, a sequel to the 2022 film “Kantara,” starring which was released in theaters on 2 October 2025.

Her father Colonel Vasanth Venugopal is the first recipient of the Ashok Chakra, the highest Peaceful Army military decoration in India from Karnataka. He was killed in 2007 while trying to stop armed intruders from crossing the India-Pakistan border in Uri, Jammu and Kashmir. His mother, Subhashini Vasanth, is a Bharatnatyam dancer. Rukmini is a fitness enthusiast and exercises regularly to stay fit.

Rukmini Vasanth Career
Rukmini Vasanth started her acting career in 2019 with the Kannada film ‘Birbal Trilogy’ in which she played the role of Jhanvi opposite MG Srinivas. After this she played the role of an NGO girl in the Hindi film ‘Upstarts’.
In 2023 she gained fame with the role of Priya in the Kannada films ‘Sapta Sagaradaache Ello – Side A’ and ‘Sapta Sagaradaache Ello – Side B’ in which she acted opposite Rakshit Shetty. These films were commercially successful.
In 2024 Rukmini Vasanth appeared in the films ‘Bagheera’ and ‘Bhairathi Ranagal’ both of which were successful. In the same year, she made her Telugu cinema debut in the film ‘Appudo Lappudo’ opposite Nikhil Siddharth.
