Minnu Mani is an Indian international cricketer who is a left-handed batsman and a right-arm off-spinner bowler. She represents the Kerala cricket team in domestic cricket. She made her Women’s Premier League debut in February 2023, playing for the Delhi Capitals.
She became the first Kerala woman cricketer to play for India. On 29 May 2023, she played her first international T20 series for the Indian team against Bangladesh.

Minnu Mani was born on 24 March 1999 in Choyimoola, Wayanad, Kerala. She is 25 years old. She did her early education from Mananthavady Government Vakariwal Higher Secondary School till class 8 and completed class 10 from Sebastian High School Thodupuzha. After completing her schooling she completed her graduation from Government College for Woman, Thiruvananthapuram. As of 2023, she was pursuing B.A in Sociology through distance education.
When she was 10 years old, she started playing cricket in paddy fields with her cousins and boys. Initially her family did not support her decision to play cricket. Her physical education teacher Elsamm Baby encouraged her to become a cricketer and she took Minnu to the selection trail of the Under-13 team of Wayanad district.
She was then selected for the Under-16 Kerala team and at the age of 15, she represented Kerala at the senior level. To reach the stadium for cricket practice, he had to travel for one and a half hours daily and also had to change four buses.

Minnu Mani Domestic Career
She made her domestic debut for Kerala Under-23 women’s team in 2014/2015 at the age of 16. In 2018, she led Kerala Under-23 women’s team to national championship victory by scoring 188 runs and taking 11 wickets.
Later in 2019, she represented India Blue in the Under-23 One Day Challenger Trophy. She was the highest run score in the 2022 women’s All-india One-day tournament. In 8 matches, she made 246 runs and took 12 wickets. She was called up for the Indian A team for the first time for the Bangladesh tour.
Minnu Mani WPl Career
In February 2023, she made her debut in the Women’s Premier League. She was bought by Delhi Capitals in the WPL auction for Rs. 30 lakhs instead of her base price of 10 lakhs. She became the first player to be bought in the Women’s Premier League.
Minnu Mani International Career
She made her debut in Women’s T20 International cricket for India Women against Bangladesh Women on 9 July 2023. In which she finished as India’s highest wicket-taker with 5 wickets in three matches. After this, she was selected in India’s first series against Australia in December 2023.
