Ankur Bhatia is an Indian actor and model who works mainly in Hindi films. He started his acting career in 2010 with Payal Sethi’s short film “Grand St. Shaving Co.” which was produced by Mira Nair. He worked in a short film “Coconut Grove” in 2012 for which he received Best Actor Commendation Award at the NYU Tisch School of the Arts Film Festival for the Short film Coconut Grove.
Ankur Bhatia appeared in a negative role in the film “Zanjeer” in 2013. He appeared in the role of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s husband in the film “Sarbjit” in 2016 and Shraddha Kapoor’s husband in “Haseena Prakar” in 2017. Apart from this, he has also worked in many web series like Arya (2020; Disney + Hotstar), Crackdown (2020; Voot) and Taali (2023; Jio Cinema).

He wanted to become an actor from a very young age, so he also did a course in filmmaking and acting from the New York Film Academy.

He started working in the Actuarial Science and Finance department of a private firm named Bunk Consultants in Connecticut, USA in January 2005 where he worked for about 2 years. After this he worked for one and a half year in the Mergers and Acquisitions department of PWC in New York, USA. From July 2008 to 2009 he worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions department of Deloitte, New York, USA.
He started his film career in 2010 with Payal Sethi’s short film “Grand St. Shaving Co” produced by Mira Nair. This film was selected in more than 10 festivals around the world like Cannes Film Festival in France and Florence Indian Film Festival and also won the Best Film Award in many festivals.
In 2011 he appeared in another short film “Coconut Grove” in the role of a waiter named Raj. For this film he received Best Actor Commendation Award at the NYU Tisch School of the Arts Film Festival in 2012.
In 2013, he played a negative role named Bosco in the Hindi and Telugu remake of the 1973 Bollywood film “Zanjeer”, directed by Apoorve Lakhia. In 2016, he played the role of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s husband Baldev in the Hindi film “Sarbjit”, directed by Omung Kumar.
In 2017, he played the role of Shraddha Kapoor’s husband Ibrahim Parkar in Apoorvi Lakhia’s film “Haseena Parkar“. After this, he appeared in films like Lubdh (2021), Bloody Daddy (2023) and Operation Mayfair (2023).
Apart from films, he appeared in an important role of Sangram Singh in the 2020 Disney+Hotstar Web Series “Arya” directed by R Madhavan, in which he worked with Sushmita Sen.
