Sushmitha Bhat began her acting career in 2020 with the Kannada TV serial ‘Kavyanjali’, in which she played the lead role of Anjali, while Vidyashree Jayaram played the character of Kavya. This serial aired on Uday TV until 2022.
In 2021, she made her film debut with the dance-romantic Telugu movie ‘Natyam’; directed by Revanth Korukonda, the film saw her portray the role of a dancer.
In 2024, she ventured into Kannada cinema with the film ‘Echoes of Love’, in which she played the character of Swathi. That same year, she appeared in two more Kannada films: ‘Kaljiga’ and ‘Chow Chow Bath’. She gained popularity for her performance in the film ‘Kaljiga’.
