Hardik Pandya Career
Hardik Pandya had to face many difficulties in his early career. When he was 5 years old, his father closed his finance business in Surat and shifted to Baroda. There he sent 5-year-old Hardik and his elder brother to play professional cricket at Kiran More Cricket Academy. His father had a great contribution in making Hardik a cricketer.
Domestic Career
Hardik Padya started his domestic career with Baroda cricket team in 2013. He played an important role in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in 2013-2014. In the very first match, he took 3 wickets for 11 runs. In 2014, Hardik played a List E cricket match against Gujarat in the Vijay Mushtaq Trophy. In this match, he played an innings of 69 runs. He scored an excellent score with the help of 6 fours and 2 sixes.
IPL Career
In 2025, Hardik Pandya got a chance to play IPL. He was bought by Mumbai Indians for Rs 10 lakh. In this match, he scored 21 runs in 8 balls and also took 6 wickets. He played IPL for Mumbai Indians from 2015-2021. After this, Gujarat Titans included him in their team by paying Rs 15 crore and also made him the captain. International Career
T-20 cricket: Hardik Pandya played his first international match on 27 January 2016 against Australia. At that time he was 22 years old. He performed well in the match and took two wickets. After this he played an international match against Sri Lanka in which he played an important role for the team by scoring 27 runs in 14 balls. Hardik Pandya’s best performance in his early international career was against Pakistan when he took 3 wickets for 8 runs.
One Day Cricket: Hardik Pandya played his first One Day International match against New Zealand on 16 October 2016. In that match Hardik performed brilliantly and scored 36 runs in 32 balls and also took 3 important wickets. For this brilliant performance Hardik was selected Man of the Match.
Test Cricket : Hardik started his Test match career in 2016 against England. He was included in the team but he got injured during net practice due to which he had to be out of the series. After this, on 26 July 2017, he made his Test match debut against Sri Lanka. In his very first innings, he scored 50 runs in 49 balls by hitting 5 fours and 6 sixes. In the same series, he scored his first Test century in the third match and made the record of becoming the first Indian batsman to score a century before lunch.
