Rohit Sharma Career
Domestic career:- Rohit Sharma started his domestic career in 2005 in Deodhar Trophy against Central Zone in Gwalior. He played this match for West Zone. He did not perform well in that match. After this, he came into the limelight by giving 142 runs against North Korea in his next match.
In July 2006, Rohit made his first class cricket debut for India A against New Zealand A in Darwin. During that time, he played an innings of 205 runs against Gujarat and impressed the team by scoring a half-century against Bengal. Due to his good performance, he was made the captain of Mumbai Ranji team in 2014. After his excellent performance, he also got a chance to play in international cricket.
ILP Career:- Rohit Sharma started his IPL career in 2008. He was bought by Deccan Chargers for $750,000. Rohit performed well by scoring the most runs in IPL, 404. After this, in 2011, Mumbai Indians bought Rohit for $2 million and appointed him the captain of the team. ODI Match:- Rohit Sharma started his international career on 23 June 2007. He did not get a chance to bat in that match. Rohit had to face many challenges while playing one day cricket. Rohit scored his first century against Zimbabwe scoring 114 runs and then scored another century in the triangular series against in which he scored 110 runs. But still he was not selected for the 2011 Cricket World Cup.
In 2013, Rohit got a chance to open with Shikhar Dhawan in the Champion Trophy. The excellent performance of both of them made India win the Champion Trophy. After this, he made a double century against Australia by hitting 16 sixes and created a world record.
T20 Match:- On 19 September 2007, Rohit Sharma made his T20 International debut against England. On 20 September, he contributed to India’s victory in the match by scoring 50 runs in 40 balls against South Africa in the ICC World Cup and led the team to the semi-finals. Due to this victory, he was also selected as the Man of the Match. Rohit Sharma has made a record by winning 50 matches for Team India in International Cricket.
Tast Match:- Rohit Sharma played his first test match on6 November 2013 against West Indies at Eden Gardens ground in Kolkata. He scored 177 runs in this match. After this, he played another test match against Sri Lanka at Eden Gardens ground the next year in which he scored 264 runs and became famous all over the world. Rohit scored two centuries in One Day Internationals in which he scored more than 250 runs. In 2015, he scored 106 runs against South Africa.
